Fans in Georgia take High School Sports very seriously. And in today’s world of instant results, Score Atlanta wanted to give fans across the state the opportunity to access their High School Scoreboard for boys and girls sports, which can also be found on AJC.com, in a sleek and easy-to-navigate mobile app.
A mobile app for iOS and Android devices was designed and developed. The app is powered by a customized Content Management System for Score Atlanta to easily use to swap out ads and sponsors at anytime. Users can also search for scores by school name, classification and region and can even save their favorite school(s).
Score Atlanta was able to secure a title sponsorship with the Atlanta Falcons, with additional sponsors including Georgia Lottery, Atlanta Dream, Atlanta Hawks, National Guard and more creating a significant new revenue stream for the company. An unexpected side benefit was a faster response time from high schools reporting scores.
